Chassis and body construction
The chassis was constructed of special laminated plywood on the monocoque principle and joined using the synthetic Aerolite 300 adhesive. Small sections are assembled into a whole by gluing and stapling. Localized stress areas were reinforced. There are not many photographs of the chassis but a diagram appears in Frank Costin’s book. A good verbal description interestingly appeared in a review published by “Sports Car and Lotus Owner” (April 1960).
